Moxa introduce her versatile choice of smart and trusty RTU and Remote I/O equipment

By Idan Vashiz

Moxa has a gigantic and flexible selection of intellectual and trusty RTU and Remote I/O products, which include modular RTU controllers, cellular RTU controllers, Ethernet RTU controllers, modular remote I/Os, and compact remote I/Os. With leading edge facilities such as Click&&Go, a built in control logic that simplifies programming, and Active OPC Server for seamless communication with SCADA systems, Moxa's RTU and remote I/O products will be the ideal alternative for your data purchase, remote monitoring and alarm purposes.

Modular RTU Controller

ioPAC 8000 rugged modular RTU controllers are made for front-end information purchase and monitoring applications. The controllers are kitted out with an effective processor and a variety of interfaces, and the two built in Ethernet switch ports permit you to set up a line bus topology with non-stop daisy chain architecture. The in-built power redundancy modules improve system reliability, and sturdy M12 Ethernet connectors and spring-type terminal blocks, which are made for high vibration environments, guarantee solid operation for train-related and other intense applications.

Micro RTU

Moxa's micro RTU controllers are compact, industrial-grade standalone RTUs for remote monitoring and control applications. Moxa covers all your Ethernet communication and Cellular needs with a range of craggy products. Moxa's patented Click&&Go offers simple and intuitive "IF-THEN-ELSE" control logic. An active communication format that actively updates I/O status to the host is possible with Moxa's patented Active OPC Server.

Cellular Micro RTU Controller

Moxa's ioLogik W5300 series introduces a next generation cellular RTU that mixes the I/O controller, cellular modem, and data logger into a compact box design that reduces deployment time and expense, and simplifies operation and upkeep. The ioLogik W5300 series has a cellular interface that supports tri-band HSDPA/UMTS and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies, offering a full range of 3G mobile communication services. The cellular RTU is a rugged, wide-temperature remote terminal unit well matched for hard-to-wire remote monitoring and alarm applications, including unmanned site monitoring, riverside monitoring, and pipeline monitoring.

Ethernet Micro RTU Controller

Moxa's ioLogik E2200 is a new type of Ethernet micro RTU controller, which is a PC-based data purchase and control gizmo that uses proactive, event-based reporting to control I/O devices. Unlike normal RTUs, which are passive and must poll for data, Moxa's Active OPC Server makes seamless connection with SCADA systems a reality. In addition, SNMP is used for communicating with an NMS (Network Managing System) for IT field users.
