Want To Watch Live TV On The Internet? Here's How!

By Grant Dougan

We've gotten many emails from people asking how they can watch television on the internet. Viewing TV online is becoming very common so we wrote an article about watching live TV on the web.

Watching TV online isn't a new idea, but recently it has increased dramatically in popularity due to improvements in technology and available channels. It wasn't too long ago that the video quality was extremely low and there weren't many channels available online.

Now the technology has raised to the point where you can find thousands of channels and watch all of them in outstanding quality. It's impressive the advances that have been made and it's no surprise more people are turning their computers into media centers.

Now let's look at how it's possible to watch television on the web.

As you probably have guessed, you need to install a specialized internet TV software program on your PC. Let's go over a couple of features to search for when you're looking for an online TV software.

A big selection of channels is important in a quality online television software program. Obviously you want the major networks (NBC, CNN, Showtime, HBO etc) but you should also get a lot of specialty channels as well. The better online TV programs will literally let you watchover 3,000 TV channels.

A great feature that I found is the ability to record whatever show you want. It's kind of like a "Tivo" - you are able to record whichever show you want so that you can then watch whenever you wish. This feature isn't on most programs, but you can find it so look around. As well, you should have the choice to hook up your computer to your TV so that you are able to watch whatever show right on your television set if you choose.

You should also ensure that there aren't any monthly fees. The good internet TV programs will only charge you once for unlimited access to their channels. You won't be billed any monthly charges which naturally makes it a great deal when you compare it to satellite or cable TV. If you see a monthly fee, stay away! You be able to find a better deal.

Altogether, I was amazed with what I found. For approximately fifty bucks you get complete access to tons of TV channels to view on your computer. Keep in mind though, it can be very addictive!
